Her new norm was hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. Her return home was finally made after 80 days of hospitalization, from the point where she was in danger of dying to the long road back to healthy. The way she lived her life was forever changed. Angelica was, following a full one-year dialysis treatment and a half year of treatment, was ready for her biggest operation ever - an organ replacement. Her mom would be the recipient. Angelica as well as her mom underwent a successful kidney surgery on 13 September 2013, at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals situated across from each other.
